Welcome to West Kerry Wool Co-Op
Supporting Sheep Farmers Since 1974
From the mountains of West Kerry to farms across Munster, Kerry Lamb & Wool Co-Op has been at the heart of rural life for over 50 years.
Founded by local farmers in response to poor prices for mountain lamb, we’ve grown to serve a community of over 1,200 sheep farmers — collecting wool, supplying vital agricultural products, and fighting to keep traditional farming viable in a changing world.
We are more than a business.
We are a co-operative, owned by our members, grounded in local knowledge, and committed to supporting Irish farmers through every season.
Celebrating over 50 years
Rooted in the Past, Growing for the Future
As farming faces rising costs, an ageing workforce, and shifting regulations, we remain fiercely committed to supporting the next generation of farmers and preserving the heritage and value of Irish wool.
We're proud to collaborate with initiatives like The Wise Wool Project, The Irish Grown Wool Council, and local universities to reimagine the role of wool in Ireland’s green and creative economy.
“We’ve kept up the ideal of the co-op. We try to get the farmer the best price for his produce — and supply him with what he needs, at the fairest cost possible.”
— Seán Moriarty, Co-op Manager
